Monocrystalline photovoltaic in China marks a new record

16 October, 2014

(Rinnovabili.it) – New world record for photovoltaics. The last record was established in the production of solar panels thanks to Trina Solar. The Chinese company has in fact announced that its high-efficiency module Honey boasts the highest peak power ever reached by the solar modules P-type monocrystalline never reached to date; the result, confirmed by the certification independent TUV Rheinland, is to 335.2 Wp, obtained with a module of 60 cells, each of 156mm x 156mm. Actually Trina Solar exceeds his own record, since the previous record of 326.3 Wp was always recorded by a module Honey in the month of April 2014.

"We are excited to improve again the world record for power modules in monocrystalline silicon type-P, after only six months from the previous record. Through our modern State Key Lab of PV Science and Technology, Trina Solar realized its commitment as an industry leader in the field of innovations, "said Feng Zhiqiang, Technology Vice President and Director of the State Key Laboratory of PV Science and Technology of Trina Solar. "The fact that he broke the world record twice in the space of just six months gives us confidence in the ability to market modules with higher efficiency, thus reducing the cost to reach grid parity in the near future and provide energy high-efficiency solar to a greater number of civil.
