EGP: operating a new wind farm in Spain

(Rinnovabili.it) – Enel Green Power España, the Spanish subsidiary of Enel Green Power, the wind power plant connected to the network of Agreda in Spain, in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon.

The new plant has an installed capacity of 18 MW and will produce at full capacity, about 48 million kWh per year.

The "clean" energy produced by 12 wind turbines of 1.5 MW each of Agreda will avoid the annual emission of 35,000 tons of CO2.

The wind farm is in addition Agreda renewable capacity to about 450 MW Enel Green Power already operating in the Autonomous Community of Castile and Leon and the more than 1,850 MW of total Spain and Portugal.

They were also completed the refurbishment of wind farms of Juan Adalid, Carretera de Arinaga and Fuencaliente in the Canary Islands. The three plants, which now have a total installed capacity of about 11 MW, an increase of about 2 MW compared with the previous arrangement, were connected to the network.

Enel Green Power España (EGPE), whose capital is owned 60% by Enel Green Power and 40% owned by Endesa, has operations in Spain and Portugal.
